Woodlands, located within the very heart of the Garden of England, with its orchards a mass of blossom in the Spring, hedgerows with honeysuckle and wild rose, as well as the famous Hop Garden is just one and a half miles from Biddenden.
Biddenden has one of the prettiest unspoilt village streets in the country boasting a wealth of genuine half timbered buildings and medieval architecture. The village offers many local amenities – a post office, grocery stores together with attractive pubs and restaurants. For the more active there is a pitch and putt course, tennis and squash courts as well as a bowling green.
Woodlands is surrounded by many places of historic interest: the ancient Cinque Port town of Tenterden, a mere three miles from the park, with its famous steam railway and modern indoor leisure complex with swimming pool, fitness and health centre and nearby 18 hole golf course.
Nine miles away, Leeds Castle, considered by many to be the most beautiful in England, with its lakes, gardens, aviary and woodland walks is a must. Only four miles is Sissinghurst Castle Gardens, visited by people from all over the world.
A little further afield lie the historic towns of Rye, Royal Tunbridge Wells and the Cathedral City of Canterbury all within easy reach. Headcorn, five miles away, offers an hourly railway service into central London, for a fabulous day out with its myriad of interest and attractions!
